BIOGRAPHY

As a young girl growing up in the Bronx, NY Talisa Patterson knew from the start that entertaining was her passion. At the early age of nine, Talisa began as a model for Generation and was featured in campaigns for Limited Too, Bloomingdales, Foot Locker, Target, & Saks Fifth Avenue.  She has been pursuing her passion for performing ever since. As an adult, she received her Meisner training at the Acting Studio with James Price. She has also studied at Penny Templeton Studio and at Boston University where she received a BBA.

Talisa made her professional debut as a nurse in a regional Bryant & Stratton College commercial. Since then, she has booked many commercials, webisodes, short films, industrials and theatre roles. She has played a variety of parts from Spoon River Anthology to original plays at the Chelsea Repertory Company. In all of these, Talisa has earned a reputation as a hard-working, dependable collaborator. Director Rodrigo Baumgartner Ayres (who cast Talisa in the play ‘Underground’ by Robin Wijnhold, for the Acting Studio) says:

"...Talisa demonstrates nothing but professionalism. She has a great eagerness to work and collaborate, and is always communicative by phone and e-mail, which makes her reliable and to me that’s the most important quality an actor can have. She is also very talented of course, in fact, most of our reviews on the play were about her performance...."

Talisa was featured in a short film titled "The Bill" as Ellie currently on Amazon. The film has earned laurels as an official selection in seven film festivals and received rave reviews. "The Bill" has also won awards for best cinematography, best narrative short, best original screenplay, and best cast. Director Caralene Robinson of "The Bill," says:

"Amazingly gifted and supremely professional, Talisa would be an asset to any organization or project. I would work with her again!"

While acting is her first love, Talisa can sing and dance as well. As a dancer, she is experienced with all types of genres - from ballet to hip-hop (she was a member of Vibes, a competitive dance troupe at Boston University, and has since honed those skills by taking classes at Peridance Capezio Center & Broadway Dance Center).

In her free time, Talisa is an avid traveler and enjoys spending time with family and friends. In the past, she has worked on the other side of the camera in production management for various shows with BET Networks. For a day job, Talisa is currently working at a brand consulting company in Brooklyn. View her resume, portfolio and contact information
